3 Weeks Old!

May 27th, 2008
Yesterday was the supposed due date of my dear sweet Carter Noble. He blessed our lives three weeks early and we have loved every minute we have had with him. I was able to spend the this day enjoying my two boys. I love to watch Andrew enjoy his little brother - I adore the kisses and gentle touch he uses with him. The only time he gets semi-upset with his baby brother is when Carter moves his hands and Andrew does not want him to. They are two special spirits and I love them to pieces.

Relaxation?
The Biology of Algae. Does this sound interesting to you? Well, this afternoon I noticed the Tivo was recording something so I turned on the tv to see what it could be....yes, it was the Biology of Algea. My sweet husband loves to watch these biology programs and had programed this one to record. It was his day off of school today and what did he want to do...sit on the couch and watch more biology! Oh I love my hubbie! He loves to learn and really has a passion for biology. Andrew even watched for quite a while...I found the whole thing quite amusing. I hope my boys all love learning about life as much as Bryan does.May 22, 2008
Two Weeks Old!
I can't believe Carter is two weeks old already. Time is going by way too fast! He had a doctor follow up this morning and he gained 12 oz since last week - he is now a whopping 6 lbs 1 oz! He is now 19.7 inches long....so he has grown 1.2 inches since he was born. He is getting too long for his premie outfits! He is still just a little bundle and we love him so much. He is a great eater and the doctor is pleased with how well he is growing! I could not ask for a more prefect baby!
Brotherly Love
Oh how I love my boys!!!!!! It makes my heart smile to see their little faces. They have brought me so much joy and continue to do so everyday. Andrew is warming up to his little brother and will even let him sit in his lap. He gives kisses and always wants to know where "baby" is. I love these two little miracles!

Flying Solo!
My mom left today after helping me recover and holding down the fort here. I am so grateful for all she has done - she is amazing! I could have kept her here another month! When we got home from the mall and dropping my mom off Andrew came in the house and said "where are you..." He was looking for his Grammy. Poor little boy, he is going to have to get used to not having his Grammy here. He has really enjoyed their playtime together!
Well, tonight Bryan had to work so I was left here alone with the two boys...I have to admit I have been a little overwhelmed with all that is going on, but that is a whole other story. I am proud to say that things have gone smoothley. Andrew was bathed, fed, and is in bed. Carter has been an angel all evening and only crys when he has a little gas bubble or is hungry.
I had some moments tonight that really made me smile and made me know why being a mother is so worth it. Carter gets hiccups ALL the time...poor baby. Well, I was sitting on the couch nursing and he had the hiccups - the hard kind, you know, the ones that hurt when they come. Anyhow, Andrew came and sat next to me and I heard a little hiccup from him! He thought it was so funny. So there I was nursing with my two hiccuping boys - Andrew was quite entertained to say the least. So cute!
Later on I was holding Carter and attempting to wake him up to eat and Andrew came over to check out his baby. He loves to look at his face and was even kissing his nose today - it was just about the sweetest thing ever, but this time Carter was squinching his eyes and Andrew was copying him. If he opened his mouth Andrew would do that too - it was so cute!! Andrew is so observant and always wants to know where the baby is. I am so in love with these two little boys.

One Week Old...

Happy Mother's Day
Bryan and my mom did a fabulous job of getting things ready for Sunday...I had balloons, flowers, cards...and even a bassinet (which we really needed).
I wish I could have done more for my mom, but I will think of something special to thank her for everything! We had lasagna, garlic bread, and fresh strawberries. An easy meal that hit the spot.
I am so grateful to be a mother and to have the perfect example of a mother. My mom is the apitomy of motherhood - she has perfected the role of being a mother and I love her so much.
The Big Brother
Andrew is adjusting rather well to being the big brother. I am so proud of him. We are making an effort to make sure Andrew feels just as loved and included as he always has been. Bryan is so good about seeing him first when he gets home from school and playing with him before he goes to Carter. We have tried to not force the baby on him and let him go to him when he is ready. He has become quite curious about the baby and always wants to know where he is. He loves to look at his little face and laughs when Carter makes a noise or moves a bit. I found him the other day showing Carter how to count. He would count "1...2...3..." and then laugh. It was SO cute!
Andrew did the funniest thing the other day. I was holding Carter and showing him the baby. When I would talk I realized that Carter's head would bobble a little. Andrew kept shaking his head no, thinking that was what the baby was doing too. It was so funny! I would move Carter a bit more and then Andrew would do it. I will have to make sure I get it on video because it was just too funny. Andrew really thinks the baby is something special.
ABCs
So we realized that I have ABC boys...Andrew, Bryan, and Carter. I love them dearly and couldn't ask for a more wonderful family. They mean so much to me and I do have to say...they are all quite good lookin'!!!!! I just thought I would post some more pictures of my little family.
My Little Teeny Tiny Baby!
He is perfect in everyway. Words cannot express how much I love this little baby. He is a long awaited miracle. It still seems surreal that he is really ours and he is not going anywhere. He is such a blessing in my life and I love him so much.

Dressed in White
With some encouragement from my mom I finally dressed Andrew back up in his white outfit and took him to the grass to see if I could get some happy pictures of him in his beautiful outfit. I took A TON of pictures - some with smiles and others with tears because he wanted to go play on the basketball court. I am just glad I got a few that I can use to frame with his sealing outfit. He is such an adorable child!
