Thanksgiving 2012

I am so behind on blogging and this posted is actually being written in February 2013....

I had the title for the post set, but no pictures or memories recorded yet.  I went to my pictures and apparently I took no pictures or they all got lost! So....I will try to recall what happened 2 1/2 months ago with no pictures.

Thanksgiving took place at our house. It was a lovely dinner with just Shelley and fam. Poor Julia and kids were hit hard that week with the stomach flu. :( Dinner was delicious. Pie was amazing at the Baker bash...and apparently my memory is not what it used to be! I do love Thanksgiving and taking the time to spend time with family, remember all of my blessings, and eat delicious food!

One Step at a Time

We have been so blessed with such a great therapy team for our Drew! He has started Hippo therapy now that the weather has cooled down and we are tying out a new suit called the "Spio". This kid is a trooper and our little rockstar. The little ones don't mind playing while we wait. :)

Halloween 2012

Hallowee in a nutshell...
Carter got to wear his costume for school for his party and was PUMPED. He was so excited to have big muscles. Maylee looked absolutely rediculuous in her little football costume. Drew did not sleep well the night before Halloween since he was so excited for the tooth fairy to come. Combine that with our church trunk our treat that night and by the time he came home from school on Halloween he was WIPED and fell asleep at 5 and slept through the night until 6 the next morning. He was a very confused kid that morning when I told him Halloween was over....good thing he is so easy going and the devastation did not last long.

I asked Carter to take a picture of Maylee and he told me he had to carry her since she was his football. Love it!

And the cousin pictures...could these girls be any cuter? I about died when I saw Hailee in the dress that her very talented mother made for her!!!!!

Food Fights

Eating is a sensitive subject in our house...at least with me....well, maybe not sensitive as much as stressful, nerve wracking, exhausting, irritating, frustrating, and emotional. Child #1 was our first taste at feeding a toddler and child. We experienced sensory issues, food anxiety, and feeding issues. This molded me into a mom that does not force her children to eat and making sure there is something for everyone on the table....exhausting, yes. I now have three VERY picky eaters. I lose sleep over this, honest. This is what pizza looks like at my house. Left to right..Maylee - Carter - Andrew. No cheese to Maylee ( I will be luckly if she eats 3 bites), pepperoni for Carter (bless his heart) and just crust for Drew. And this is just PIZZA! Kids should like this, right? I need to make a change...but I am not sure how. It doesn't help when 2 out of my 3 kids have weight issues....sigh. One day I know I will look back on this and laugh, but for now my blood pressure pays!

Just imagine what  Thanksgiving looks like at my house.....comical.
