We tried to get them out with tissues and yes, even pliers, but they would not come out. I was concerned because his adult teeth were making their way in regardless if the baby teeth were coming out. We headed to the dentist and decided it would be best to just get it over with. Drew was scared and his anxiety rose levels more when the doc informed him it was just "jelly" that they were putting on his teeth. Goodness gracious he would have done better telling him it was medicine - the child HATES jelly! Two little tugs and a lot of man power to hold him down and he was done. He was SOOOO excited fort he tooth fairy to come and Carter was quite nervous, but all went well. She came and Drew was up about 7 times that night excited about his loot!

Carter's First Field Trip
Carter and I went on his first field trip. He was stoked. I was excited. He LOVED the bus and we had so much fun together! It was so fun spending time just me and him doing whatever his little heart desired for as long as he wanted! Of course my camera died after like three pictures so I had to resort to my phone camera, but it is better than nothing!

Naturally Ingrained
We went to a family wedding reception and opted to leave the boys with their favorite sitter and took Maylee with us. I was sad the boys were not able to bust a move with their cousins on the dance floor, but Maylee sure had a blast! She LOVED dancing with her grandma, grandpa, daddy, and cousins. The rhythm is not quite there for her yet, but she loves the music!
She was also obsessed with seeing "the princess". The beautiful bride did look just like a princess and Maylee loved to look at her with her sparkly dress. She would ask over and over again "I want to see the princess again." The love of princesses and sparkles and dancing is just innate in little girls and it is just adorable!

It's all in the Details
I have a rule in our house. No shoes or standing on my couch and especially no jumping on my couch....apparently I was not clear about jumping OFF the couch.

Bubble Snakes
Empty water bottles, socks, rubber bands, water, and dish soap.
The boys had a BLAST...until Drew decided he would breath out AND in while blowing his snake and got a huge mouthful of soapy bubbles. :)
My Little Artist
Maylee asks to paint at least once a day. Usually it is not too messy and she prefers to just mix the colors together rather than actually paint, but her painting days are probably going to be fewer now that she has discovered the world of finger painting which is a MUCH messier activity. She was so cute the first time she discovered I was okay with her getting it on her cute little belly. She didn't last too long and requested a bath -
...I am guessing it runs in the family :)

Out of the mouth of my little babe
"Yay treat! It tastes good in my mouf!"
"I'm faster than you"
"I sweep in the dark. I miss you."
"I love YOU!"
"I need awone (alone) time." - and yes, she does go off to spend time alone
"Daddy! I like him. He's nice."
"I want two mints" - the child is obsessed with anything minty.
***Ignore the post nap diaper. She has been potty trained for almost a year now, but I have not given into the sleep training yet. :) ***
