This week has been....interesting, busy, exhausting, overwhelming, emotional, tiring, long, endless, and exciting.
I don't do well with change. We moved this week. Drew is transferring schools. We are going to start a new ward. We have new neighbors. Change is hard....exciting, but hard.
I have become someone I am not happy with this week. I suppose it has to do with the pregnancy hormones, moving, cleaning, endless to do lists, change, a traveling husband, and sick kids. My house is disorganized. I am dealing with serious lack of sleep. My work is getting turned in late. Meals around here are not what they should be. My tolerance and level of patience is far below where it should be. I am not a yeller and I am ashamed and so sad to say that I have yelled a couple times this week. *sigh* I hate yelling and being impatient. I regret it the instant it happens. Argh....
All of this does not make a happy mom and therefore I have less than happy boys.
Time for a fresh start. Sleep or no sleep.....clean or no clean.....I am going to do better. Tomorrow is a new day. I am going to work a little harder. I have read a couple blog posts from friends/family this week that have given me the extra nudge I needed to push forward and make the extra effort.

Princess in the Making
I had my "big" ultrasound a couple weeks ago to check to see how this little baby is growing. Everything looks good, normal, and healthy. My doctor asked right away if we wanted to know what the baby is. We told him we thought it was a girl and he said that she is sure is a girl! She was upside down with her legs over her head. What a little gymnast we have!
As of right now I am about 20 1/2 weeks. I can't believe how fast time is flying by. I need to be better about taking belly pictures. I was so good at it with Carter's pregnancy, but time just seems to slip by this time. I love being pregnant and am so grateful for the miracle of life.
Excuses
So I think I am just about caught up with posts...I may have a few more, but here are a few reasons I am so behind. On top of being pregnant and working from home, we recently bought a house and are in the process of moving.....not to mention these little busy bodies who keep me on my toes!
The Glorious Age of Four
Drew turned 4 on December 7th!!! Amazingly enough he has changed SO much with turning four. It was like he decided he needed to grow up just a little too much too fast! Potty training is progressing - he has decided he loves his big boy bed - progress with eating. I want to know who said he was allowed to make all these changes in the same month? We just adore this little boy so much and are SO blessed and grateful he is a part of our family.
We were able to celebrate his birthday a little while my parents were in town for Thanksgiving. He had a blast opening his presents.
We did a little party for him on his birthday at our house with my sisters here. Since he doesn't really like cake, but loves popcorn...I made him kettle corn and cake balls.
I also used a bit of a cake to make a real cake so he could blow out his candle.
Shelley and I enjoyed this little cake the next day.......oh heavenly! I have fallen in love with rainbow chip frosting.
Happy Birthday Andrew! We love you so much and can't wait to see what this next year of your life will bring. You are so full of life, energy, love, determination, surprises, and joy. You are one in a million and we are so glad you are you!

A Very Merry Christmas Program
Drew had a Christmas program at school. I wondered what kind of excitement it would bring this time around. We have had tears, wiggles, and refusal to participate in the past....but I was cautiously hopeful. This year he is in a smaller class that wasn't combined with any other classes. This meant less kids, less parents, and less distractions. He did AMAZING!!!!!! There was no background music - just good 'ol little kid singing and dancing and I LOVED it!
He sang the "Reindeer Pokey" complete with putting in his antlers, red nose, tail, and whole self. They also sang Jingle Bells and We Wish You A Merry Christmas. He stayed up there and participated the whole time except for one quick run to mom for a hug. He did great! We were so proud of him.
The party was really fun. They did a book exchange where all the kids brought in a book and they passed each wrapped book to music and who ever was holding it when the music stopped got that book. It was a great idea and I always love new books! I was so glad that Bry was able to make it and see how great Drew is doing at school.
All in all it was a fabulously fun event minus me forgetting my keys were in the camera bag and Bry so lovingly taking it to the car for me....and then locking it....and I had to call him back from work to come and open it again. Arg...pregnancy brain!

Tis the Season
These posts are much too late, but better late than never. I am realizing that my 2009 blog book needs to be started, as well as so many other things on my to do list. A pregnant mommy is sure busy with two little boys, moving, and working.
What a wonderful Christmas season we had! We had so much fun with family and enjoying time together celebrating the beautiful holiday of Christ's birth.
Bry (and Carter) put up lights on the house. This was the first year that we actually had a house to put lights on and it was wonderful. Christmas lights were a highlight for the little boys this year. We would take frequent walks around the neighborhood to soak it all in. We had some fantastic houses around here!
We tracked down a good deal on a bigger fake Christmas tree on Black Friday and decorated it as a family. I love the tradition of getting a new ornament every year from my parents. It is so much fun to decorate and recall past Christmases. I would love to tho this for our kids. Next year we are playing catch up and will then continue on the tradition with our sweet little family.
We had early Christmas with Bryan's parents when they were out to visit. It was so much fun to see the boy so excited for new things to play with! Carter especially loved the new hand puppets and Drew is still attached to his trumpet.
My parents came out for Christmas and we had SO much fun. My boys just love to spend time with Grammy and Poppie. We went out to dinner together and had a wonderful, delicious meal. When is Red Robin ever anything but wonderful! **We will completely ignore the fiasco with Andrew before sitting down for the food while trying to peel him away from the arcade games in the front. I will not even mention the long, tear filled minutes I spent outside with him waiting for him to calm down so we could go eat...or that Bry had to take a shift with me so I could go order....no, we will not talk about that. Note to self - AVOID restaurants with arcade games in the future!**
My dad watched the boys during their nap time while my mom and I headed to the grocery store. Apparently Drew didn't fall asleep and he sweet talked my dad into letting him lay on the couch. Andrew just adores his Poppie...and you can tell the feeling is mutual.
We had Christmas Even dinner with Julia and family, Shell and Rich, and Mom and Dad. It was a yummy meal of stuffed shells, fun, and time together. I was sad we had to leave early and miss the live nativity together, but we had to be sure to attend the big Baker dessert gathering. It was so much fun to see so much family all in one night!
We have a tradition of new jammies on Christmas Eve. I LOVE the soft, warm, snuggly jammies for the boys. We splurge once a year and get nice jammies and the boys just love them. They are just so soft and warm. Did I mention how soft they are?? Seriously...you can't help but give the little munchkins a nice squish when they wear these.
The night ended with the boys getting ready for bed and.....who would have thought we could hear Santa coming!!!! Andrew could hear his jingle bells right outside his window and a hefty, jolly "ho ho ho". I thought Drew was going to jump out of his skin with excitement! I am not sure he understands the whole being good to get presents and sleeping so Santa can come...and that you can wake up earlier to see what he brought .I am afraid next year our Christmases will begin a bit earlier than the normal 8:00 wake up time around here.
The boys have so much fun. Andrew was in love with his new play clothes, especially the fire man outfit and the masks. Carter was quite content to just play with the ball that lights up when you throw it.
We did Christmas dinner at our house and we had quite the full table. We were so grateful to have a close friend of ours, Manny and his two adorable girls with us. The food and company were just perfect! I think Drew pretty much sums up how we all felt after dinner.
After dinner the boys took naps and us girls decided to head out for a walk (even though I think we really all wanted to take naps!) My mom snapped this shot of us all leaving and I think it is just too funny.
Later on the evening we did our family gifts. We did a sibling gift exchange this year and as a new tradition the "kids" in the Osmun family made a calendar for Mom and Dad. It was so fun to put together and I think they love it!
We had a wonderful holiday season filled with so many precious moments and new wonderful memories. I love Christmas and look forward to many more to come.

Lainy was SO funny with her ketchup. I think she refilled her little pile of ketchup after every bite of corn dog. It was quite entertaining. She is such a funny girl.
