Bry turns the big 3-2

Happy 32nd Birthday to the most amazing husband, adoring daddy, and best friend I could ever ask for!!!!! A midst all the crazy in our house we managed to celebrate this very special day with this very special man!!!!

We did have to come up with some things to do besides swimming all summer. 

Drawing with glue, covering it with salt, and then dripping colored water on the salt was a big hit. The kids all sat for quite a while to create their masterpieces! 

We have been refinishing the cabinets in the house and use the blue cups to prop them up off the floor....and the blue cups have been a HUGE hit with the kids. Dad helped with the nice pyramid in front of the TV. And underwear seems to be the clothing of choice in the summer which is fine by me...less laundry!

Carter was quite proud of his block castle and wanted to make sure we got a picture to immortalize it's greatness!

Number 6 for my 7 year old

At 7 years old Drew has undergone 6, yes SIX surgeries. Nothing too crazy major, but he has gone under way too many times for any little person. It seems that this last one was the worst. He had his tonsils and adenoids removed on Monday. He was a bit nervous, but did great. Fifteen minutes coming out of anesthesia he woke up, looked at the nurse and asked if it was done. She responded with the affirmative and he said "Well, that was easy!" Oh how I wish it was that easy.....

He slept most of the day of surgery and was pretty mellow day 2, but goodness come day 3 and 4 he has bee MISERABLE. The poor thing will hardly eat or drink anything. He is dizzy and down right crabby.  He always wants to go somewhere and even resorted to telling me he wants to go somewhere dirty. I asked here....and he said "Chuckie Cheese". Riiiight...I won't even take him there when he is not recovering from surgery! He was pretty upset when I told him no and informed me very angrily that he was going to eat my brain.

Medicine is a challenge, as well as drinking, but hopefully things will look up tomorrow. At least he is sleeping through the night and the kid loves TV.  My sweet boy has been through so much for such a tiny person. I can't wait to have my sweet, energetic, lively, silly, cracker lovin' boy back.  And hopefully when all is said and done we will have less ear infections, less snoring, and less winter congestion!

Maylee and Brynlee

These two little ladies have become fast friends....and they are literally quite fast. They love to race around the downstairs like little crazies. They scream and squeal and have a blast. I love to watch their friendship develop. They play light sabers, read books, play "kitchen" and "castle". I am SO grateful to have my childhood best friend so close now and to be able to watch our girls grow together!!! Goodness....those big brown eyes and baby blues get me every time!!!

3 for 3

We braved the dentist today. I thought I would give it one more shot of taking all 3 kids at the same time. Drew has been counting down the days and hours until it was time to go. Maylee said she was not going before we got on the car. During the drive down I did my best to pump them up.  We talked about all that would go on and how brave they were.  Success!!! They were pumped and ready to go. Carter got x-rays and all three had a full cleaning....and.....NO CAVITIES for any of them. No tears and no resistance.  Carter still had some anxiety, but did great. The hygeinist remembered my kids and said how cute they were. She did Carter and did fabulous. She kept laughing and thanked me to bringing them in. She said he had the best facial expressions. The dentist gave them all a clean bill of health!

Once we were done I had to follow through with my bribe...ice cream cones! Makes sense, right?!
