Four years into eternity

 

April 26th, 2010 we were sealed to our sweet Andrew for time and eternity. This is one of my favorite days of the year. We get to celebrate our forever family and talk about the temple and how much we love one another. 

This year Drew picked to go to the "other fry store" aka Freddy's. (The original fry store is In-n-Out) Obvious the children enjoyed themselves. We then headed to the temple, took pictures, visited the visitor's center, and of course had our traditional all white cake, in cupcake form this year.

I love you Andrew and am so blessed and grateful that you are our son forever and always!

Two Years with This Tiny One

 

Happy birthday Miss Maylee! I can't believe she is two, but goodness when you ask her how old she is....it is just about the cutest thing to see her little fingers go up and to hear her way "teeoooo". She is my little snuggle bug, firecracker, silky blanket loving, crazy haired, smiley, chip loving, dairy free, music loving, little princess!  

My silly little girl decided she wanted to be potty trained at the ripe old age of 22-months and it stuck! She has done great, but I still put her in diapers at night and naps. She is turning into quite the chatterbox and I am loving the new words she says every day. Her "I-oh-you" (I love you) is ADORABLE. She fills in the missing words to songs if I pause when singing.  She LOVES ring around the rosies and to dance.

She is a picky eater and still no dairy. She loves her "veggie cheese", BBQ chips, smoothies, fruit snacks, raw tortillas (yuck, I know), strawberries, mandarin oranges, granola, raisins, french fries, yogurt, plain wheat bread, and chicken sticks. She has decided she will no longer eat pizza or bananas. She will not touch any sort of beans, soup, sandwich, or pasta.

She goes to bed about 8:30 and is up around 9. She naps around 1:30 or so for 2-4 hours. She loves to slide down the slide and HATES swimming. She loves butterflies.  The garbage man scares the shnikeys out of her. She loves her silky blanket and books. She loves her brothers, particularly if they are being silly or play "run" around the house where they literally run everywhere and she runs says "run run run" and it is so cute! She is getting better in nursery, but still likes to be held. She loves Bubble Guppies, Word World, Bear in the Big Blue House, Blues Clues, and Mickey Mouse Club House.  She loves shoes and sparkly things...but definitely prefers to be nude at home. (We are working on that one, but it is a pain when she wants her shorts, underwear and shoes off every time she goes potty!) She adores her cousin Lainy who equally adores her back. They are inseparable when we are all together. 

2-year old stats:
Height: almost 32" I believe which puts her in the 4%
Weight: Just over 20 lbs which is in the 3.7%
Head circumference: Not sure on the measurement, but I know it was 50%

The doc is happy she is on the charts and we can wait six months before another weight check. YAY! And no ear infections for almost two months now so the dairy free diet with Prevacid seems to be working! Whew....

Emergency

Carter loves to watch shows about firetrucks...and emergencies...and people needing help

And this usually results in quite a bit of this.

Easter 2012

HAPPY EASTER 2012

We had lots of fun finding eggs, eating candy, and ruffling through look from the Easter bunny. I do have to say my favorite part of Easter getting past all the hype of the sugar, powdery bunny prints on the furniture, and plastic eggs to teach my sweet children about our Savior. I love to hear them ask questions and to say "resurrection". What priceless, wonderful moments these are. My Andrew has such a tender heart and is always so touched by the story of Christ's crucifixion. He has been moved to tears by simply looking at pictures, but is so comforted when I remind him that Jesus was resurrected. I love the sweet spirits of children and it is always a reminder to me to be more sensitive to the spirit. Happy Easter.

I TRIED so hard to get a cute picture before church of the children in their Easter clothes, but alas...the stress of getting to church on time and the oh so bright Arizona sun made it a little tricky....

Date Night

I took the boys on a date Friday night to see the play the Seussical and it was SO fun. Cousin Haley Baker was in it and the boys were so excited to see her. We stopped at the "fry store" on the way. They devoured their fries and shakes. The play started at 7:30 which is bedtime so I was a little worried how it would go. They love love loved it! Carter couldn't clap enough and was soaking it all in. Drew loved it too, but was a little more apprehensive about some of the characters and the tiredness really set in for him after intermission. It was such a wonderful night with my little men!

Bry had a little date night with Maylee and took her to the frozen yogurt place where she can get dairy-free frozen treats! She sure is growing fond of her daddy these days!

Now if only I could have gotten a date night with my honey this weekend....
