Happy Birthday Bry!!

Happy Birthday to my amazing, smart, self motivated, sexy, reliable, trustworthy, masculine, noble, tender hearted, nuturing, sensitive, hardworking, inspiring, charming, lovable, absolutely wonderfully perfect husband! He is the big 27!!!! I have to say I know it has been a pretty sad birthday and I wish I could have done more, but I will make it up to him eventually. Bryan is so selfless and concerned about others...not one to complain, but I he deserves the best and I will give him a very special day when we are little more settled.
What a looker he is and has been since the day he was born!

7 Glorious Weeks!

I can't believe seven weeks have gone by and my baby has just about doubled in size. He is such a miracle and I love every little part of him!

I just realized how incredibly cute the back of his head is. I mean, look at all the hair and look at that cow lick! Oh I love it!!

and those toes....then perfect little piggies! I can't kiss them enough!

Feed the Birds...

...or the ducks!

We went to Baja Fresh with Mom, Dad, Jess, and Chris. We really had a good time. After that we went to the duck pond so we could feed the ducks and so Andrew could play. Uncle Jess and Andrew played on the big playground together. Jess even went down the tube slide with Andrew...that was a sight to see. He is such a great uncle! I love this picture of Andrew on the swing. You can see they are really having fun!!
Chris held my sweet little sleepy baby most of the time. What a good auntie she is!

This looks like a decent amount of ducks, right?! This is not even close to how many ended up coming. I was actually kinda scared because there were so many. It was all good and well until the big, mean, nasty geese came - they are quite aggressive. Bryan had to hold Andrew to make sure he did not get bit. I was glad when that loaf of bread was gone!

Family Fun

We got to visit Bryan's oldest brother on Sunday and have a little birthday dinner with him. It is the first time most of our family is able to see Carter and it is so much fun.
Andrew had a blast with his cousin Austin. They played so well together. Austin really was making Andrew laugh - it was the cutest thing!!
Austin got out his bugs (can't you just heart Andrew saying "buuuug") and was dividing then evenly between the two of them. They are good buddies.

On a side note- funny story - Andrew was outside playing on the little playground they have and I was watching him through the kitchen window. All of the sudden Austin says...the sprinklers are on - and I look outside and there is Andrew standing in the middle of the grass, getting wet, and very upset. It was too funny, but I did run out there and get him. Poor kiddo - I wish I could have gotten a picture, that would have been too mean! You can imagine what it looked like though - makes you smile, huh?!

Bryan got to have a little rest with Carter. I have such a good lookin' family!

California Here I Come

Well, we have arrived and have been busy to say the least. I would like to say we are settling in just a bit. We are still waiting for our moving truck to arrive with the rest of our things...but we are here nonetheless. I am SO impressed with how well my boys did with the drive. It ended up taking about 12 hours total. We had a decent stretch of driving in the beginning and one again at the end, but in between we had to stop about every two hours to feed the little one! Carter did rather well, except we learned he hated being hot! He is definitely is father's son.

Andrew did great and enjoyed the frequent stops where he could get out and play while the baby nursed. Bryan was so patient...I am so loving this break he has from school and work - he is a whole new man!!!

We made sure to get video of the time in the car where both boys were fast asleep. It was a peaceful moment and we wanted to make sure we had it recorded for proof that it did happen!

You can't see how hot it was, but it was 113° in Baker....ick! Bryan and Andrew got out for a while since I was nursing in the car. It was VERY hot.

Poor Andrew was a bit hot...but he still wanted to get out and play. Poor little man!

It was just as hot when we arrived. Since Carter hates being hot I stripped him down for his nap. You can even see how sweaty his hair was. We have since figured out ways to keep the upstairs cooler and my boys (and I) are tolerating this heat a bit better. I have no idea how I am going to handle Arizona again!

Picture Perfect

My little angel baby. I spent a long time on another post and something happened and I lost the whole thing. Nonetheless - Carter is just about 5 weeks old here. I can't believe how fast he is growing! He was a bit wiggly and didn't like being naked for so long, but he was a trooper. I love this little man!

Pure Joy

Words cannot express the joy this little boys brings to me! I mean, look at that face - you just gotta love it! Who knew that an abandoned bike helmet at the park could make him smile like that!

Can't get enough of you baby!

Andrew decided to taste the baby - luckily there was no biting involved. Don't they just look too cute together! I matched them by accident that day, but I think it may be habit forming!
Andrew loves to play name the body parts on the baby. Eyes...nose...forehead...
Oh how daddy adores this baby - even though it looks as though baby looks more like mommy!
The weather has been beautiful and we took advantage of it this evening! I couldn't not get a picture of them in their cute outfits as well...this time I did it on purpose!

In the Sandbox

Andrew does too many cute things to not share...

Yesterday evening Bryan, Andrew, Carter, and I were enjoying the beautiful weather while Andrew was playing at the little park behind out apartment. (Yes, the one with sand...it is not so bad as long as he gets a nice bath afterwards!) Anyhow - there were some older little girls bringing buckets of water and dumping them in a pretty good sized hole they had dug. Andrew went over to watch and as they poured a bucket in he yells...."Mom!! Juuuiiiccceee!!!" It was the cutest thing ever. It is hard to describe exactly how he says juice, but it has to be one of the cutest words I have ever heard. I then clarified that it was water and he repeated. He was just so excited to see the liquid being poured into the sand! I just love that kid. I am thinking he might be pretty keen on the whole beach idea - we will soon see!

June 8th, 2008 - One Month Old!

Yup, a whole month has come and gone since this little man arrived. I can hardly believe it! He has changed so much and is just too cute for words! We try and weigh him at night before bathtime to make sure he is gaining weight (of course he is with the way that he eats!) and last night he weighed in at a whopping eight pounds! I am not sure how accurate our scale is, but he is getting to be quite the chunker! I love this little man! Happy one month birthday Carter!

Try a little something new...

...try a little something different!

I just want to say how proud I am of Andrew. We have had a phenomenal week of eating and trying new foods - all without gagging!!! He has now eaten waffles with syrup, black beans, garbanzo beans, chicken chunks with sauce, bananas with honey, and cinnamon and sugar toast along with his normal cereal and milk, yogurt, applesauce, and fries with ketchup on a normal basis. This are hige improvements for Andrew and I could not be more pleased! I found the trick is to let him feed me a bite while I feed him a bite - works like a charm! Hopefully we can get off this pediasure in the next couple of months. Andrew is such a champ and never ceases to amaze me!

Ducks!

We made a family outing to the duck pond this last Saturday. I have to say it was wonderful to have Bryan with us and to be able to go out and spend time together without having to worry about anything. Andrew just loved seeing the ducks, but didn't want to get too close to the water. I am really going to miss Provo. There were some cute little ducklings there too!!

4 Weeks Old!

I can't believe how big this little man is getting! He is getting meat on his thighs...bye bye chicken legs...and he is getting some kissable cheeks! He is not the biggest fan of being naked, but he just looked too cute to not take a picture!
He is starting to really hold his head up during tummy time, but I seemed to just miss it everytime I would try to take a picture. Oh well..he still looks cute!
I just can't get enough of these two - they are my pride and joy!

The Ultimate!

This is the best stroller ever! We had tried out quite a few and found this to be my dream stroller. We go for a walk everyday and it is fabulous! Just thought I would share another one of the joys of parenting!! **Carter is laying down in the back**
