Well, we have arrived and have been busy to say the least. I would like to say we are settling in just a bit. We are still waiting for our moving truck to arrive with the rest of our things...but we are here nonetheless. I am SO impressed with how well my boys did with the drive. It ended up taking about 12 hours total. We had a decent stretch of driving in the beginning and one again at the end, but in between we had to stop about every two hours to feed the little one! Carter did rather well, except we learned he hated being hot! He is definitely is father's son.
Andrew did great and enjoyed the frequent stops where he could get out and play while the baby nursed. Bryan was so patient...I am so loving this break he has from school and work - he is a whole new man!!!
We made sure to get video of the time in the car where both boys were fast asleep. It was a peaceful moment and we wanted to make sure we had it recorded for proof that it did happen!
You can't see how hot it was, but it was 113° in Baker....ick! Bryan and Andrew got out for a while since I was nursing in the car. It was VERY hot.
Poor Andrew was a bit hot...but he still wanted to get out and play. Poor little man!
It was just as hot when we arrived. Since Carter hates being hot I stripped him down for his nap. You can even see how sweaty his hair was. We have since figured out ways to keep the upstairs cooler and my boys (and I) are tolerating this heat a bit better. I have no idea how I am going to handle Arizona again!

So glad you made it safely!!! Hope life in California is great for you.
Welcome to California! The heat wave was miserable for you guys getting here I bet! I forget what city you are living in? Don't forget to let me know if you decide to come to Disneyland :) Your boys are both so cute and getting so big ... can't believe Carter is seven weeks!
Glad the trip went well! Once you are settled give me a call so we can get together. I totally understand the hot sweaty baby thing...it could be 30 degrees and Ryan's hair will still look like Carters when he wakes up! I guess I just have the sweaty baby!
I'm glad you survived the trip! It sure is tough to keep the little ones cool on a long car ride--Guy was dripping wet at every pit stop, even with the a/c full blast and wearing nothing but a diaper and a onesie most of the trip.
