Carter-isms

I opened a box of popsiscles from Costco and let the kids pick what kind they wanted. Carter picked "white". When I handed him the popscicle and he asked me if it tastes like cheese stick. In his defense...it kind of looked like one.

School started and Carter is still learning the verbage at school. He came home and informed me he had dessert at school. I repeated what he said and he stared at me.....wheels turning....and corrected himself with "We had ART today!"

Another one......We had CT today.......you mean PE, right son!?

My teacher does this all the time at school {Carter proceeds to lick his finger and wipe it on the top of his shirt} I asked him why she did that and he replied "Because that is how Jesus made her."

Curriculum night was approaching and Carter's teacher was reminding the kids and he was pumped about it. He got off the bus and informed me that I needed to go to "crinkly night" and it was referred to that the rest of the week and I loved it every time he said it!

And finally....headstands....EVERYWHERE. 

My Little Princess in Dance

Maylee has started dance and she could not be more thrilled! She did a princess dance camp this summer with Hailee and could not wait for her official dance class to start. She is so cute and is leaning so much already. Sashay, passe, and arabesque are just a few of the words that escape her little mouth during the week.

Back to School 2013

Gone are the days of swimming every day....and back are the days of backpacks, lunches, homework, buses, and lots of laundry. I was sad to see the summer end, but they kids have adjusted well and I am loving having a routine once again!!!

Meet the teacher was so much fun. Andrew's teacher is amazingly perfect for him. She is excited to work with Drew and I am hoping this will be a fantastic year. Carter's teacher is so much fun and perfect for his detail oriented self that will help him have fun while learning. 

 THE FIRST DAY

I took and picked up the kids from school the first week of school and then I was persuaded to let them take the bus. I loved holding little hands and walking them to the door and visiting with teachers...but goodness it is nice not having to stand in the heat and load and unload sweaty bodies from the car every morning and afternoon. 

 

 

Girls' Night

I LOVE when Mom comes to visit. She surprised us and it was wonderful!!! We made sure we had a girls' night. We made it to Texas Roadhouse (amazing rolls, heavenly salad, terrible baked potato, and not so friendly waitress), Barnes and Noble (short attempt at going up the down escalator, browsing leather journals, and a terrible laughing fit), and Frost (the best gelato ever).

 

Best Friends

I love these girls and love spending time together with their mommies! Just months apart in age and have to much fun playing together!

Fair Weather

We don't get to play outside and NOT in the pool during the summer very often, but when we do it is awesome!!! And it is even better when it is the day before school starts!

He Loves Me

Bry had been asking about the mail for weeks. Did you check the mail today? When was the last time you checked the mail? Did a package come today? He informed me he ordered something that was "for you...for me...but for you". I figured it was some computer part that would make my computer faster or cooler or something that he was really excited about. I was SO wrong. When this arrived in the mail I about cried. What a sweet, sappy, oh so romantic gesture from my man. Oh how I adore him and love how much he loves me.
