My man turns 30 today. I wanted to do something special to really fuss over him and show him how much I love him and how many other people love him. I think I almost successfully threw a surprise party Friday night. I planned and prepped and we went to dinner Friday after he got off work. We met at the restaurant to make sure he didn't come home and see all the decorations and food. We finished dinner with perfect timing and we headed back to the house. The tip off he got was not cars on our street or people at the door, but rather the blinds to our front office/playroom were open and he saw Drew run away. We never have these blinds open in the summer because it is SO hot. He thought maybe there was some family there, but he had no idea how many people were crammed into our little house! I was SO pleased with the turnout. We had friends, family, and coworkers. My mom came out, as well as his parents. We had friends we hadn't seen in a long time, as well as so many from our families. It was a bit toasty in our little house and our AC was chugging trying to keep things cool. It was fun and we had a blast.
I really wanted to encompass who Bryan is and what he means to people. I had as many people as I could tell me three words that describe Bryan or remind them of him. I then printed out over 65 pictures and covered the wall. I love the way it turned out. Goodness...I sure am lucky to have such an amazing man!
I never got around to getting the games organized....the cupcakes were brought out a bit too late....and my camera was not working right, but it was still wonderful. Thank goodness my mom took pictures for me!! Bryan loved it and that was all that mattered. I would not have been able to pull it off without the help if my mom, sisters, and mother and father in law. They were SO much help! Shell even made custom USC cake balls for the party. Bry LOVES these things and they were a huge hit!
Drew, Carter, and Maylee had a blast after the initial thrill of it all. Maylee was a bit overwhelmed, but after some quiet time with Aunt Lulu she warmed up the idea of being the center of attention. Drew panicked a bit when Bry sat in the middle of the room and everyone shared stories about him. For some reason he thought daddy was going to disappear and still talks about it now....strange. Things settled down just after 10 and we all crashed.
Happy birthday to the man of my dreams. We have been together for eight years now and I love him so much. I will leave the rest of the mushy stuff off of here...
Happy 30th Birthday Bry!!!!

It looks like it turned out perfect! We were bummed we couldn't make it. Brent had to work and London was sick. But we hope he had a very Happy Birthday!
