Strawberry

We needed to try and get out of the heat this past weekend. Since Carter had a runny nose and I was at my whit's end about 15 minutes into church we left after the first hour and headed north. We drove to Strawberry in hopes of finding a park to BBQ and enjoy being outside without totally melting. Well, Strawberry is a very small town and we had to drive 10 miles out of it to find a place outside a campground where we could park and let the kids get out. Turns out we forgot matches and the paper to start the charcoal - genious, I know. We ate some chili and fritos played around and headed back to the car to head back to the closest bigger town. The boys sure did love just being outside!

We found a beautiful park with greeeeen grass, but apparently they use "cleaned" waste water to irrigate - YUCK! Needless to say we cleaned their hands and Maylee's feet VERY well after we left. Maylee was so funny about the ground. She would not put her bare feet in the sand. Silly girl!

She thoroughly enjoyed swinging and was quite relaxed. The boys just ran around and played and played. They just couldn't get enough of running around in the sun.
