Day 2 - Disneyland!

They had NO idea we were going....whenever we saw a Disneyland bus they would discuss where the bus was going - maybe school? a play? It was so fun to see their cute faces that morning on the shuttle when we told them where we were going!!

Carter bailed on the way in and scraped his knees up pretty good. First stop was the First Aid office where he was bandaged and was given 2 fast passes!

A quick breakdown of everything we made it to...not too shabby for one day:

Peter Pan, carousal, Small World, Toon Town roller coaster (Carter went twice, Maylee cried), Drew and Maylee played on the pirate ship while Carter went for round 2 with Bry, Matterhorn, *churro break*, Autopia, space mountain, Astro blasters, Rockets, *lunch*, Star Tours, Alice in Wonderland, *ice cream*, Winnie the Pooh (boys went twice), Pirates of the Caribbean, attempt at Indiana Jones, *dinner*, Jungle Cruise, Tiki room, and the cinema.

Next time I will for sure video them ore on the actual rides and bring more healthy snacks!!! We did go through a lot of the spare clothes I brought.  Apparently the  rockets that go in a circle in Tomorrow Land are pretty exciting because both Drew and Maylee wet their pants. Drew was by himself and was a bit nervous when he went to the top and didn't know how to lower himself at first.  Peter Pan was not a huge hit with it being the first ride and the kids were still nervous about what things were going to be like. Small World was great and they all were happy, after Carter stopped burying his face in my lap and realized it was not a scary ride!

Bryan wanted to try out the roller coaster in Toon Town. The boys LOVED it, but Maylee not so much. We sat in the very back and towards the end she leaned over, snuggled, starting crying, and reported she did not like it. My daughter for sure. Drew was the only one brave enough to see the characters...which we only saw a few. Carter would run a safe distance away if he spotted one....like JUMP out of the stroller and run. It was quite funny.

All the kids loved Autopia. It was one of the longer lines we had to wait it. Space Mountain took a while too, but so worth it. Drew got off and told Bry "That was WICKED!" Carter and Drew loved the Materhorn, Space Mountain, and Star Tours. I am so excited to have boys that love rides! Maylee was too small for all those ones. Drew was going to go Indiana Jones with Bry, but he got up to get on and had hurt his back when Bry picked him up....and he threw up. Oh well.

We thoroughly enjoyed the ice cream we got, but next time I will not get everyone their own scoop. That was a lot of ice cream...and the extra cost for the chocolate dipped cone with sprinkles was TOTALLY worth it!  The kids each got to pick a hat. Drew knew he wanted one with a spinning top and he still loves it! Maylee picked a Minnie Mouse with matching glasses and Carter held out to get his Peter Pan hat (his current obsession). It was so worth the wait. He just loves his hat and looks adorable in it!

Winnie the Pooh was a big hit with the kids as usual. We enjoyed a healthy dinner of chicken nuggets, fries, and funnel cake. We took it slow after that and hit the Jungle Cruise. The kids really enjoyed this and I just love the people that work at this ride. They are always super friendly and funny! We wrapped things up with the Tiki room. I always went there as a kid and Bry never did so it was fun. Maylee was dancing her little heart out. They really enjoyed it!! And that Dole whip ice cream thing....SO GOOD! Bry always like to hit the cinema on the way out and it as a great way to calm the kids before heading to bed.

All in all I'd say it was a very successful trip with the kids to the happiest place on earth. It was so worth it to rent 2 strollers and to get a pass to be able to use one of them as a wheelchair for Drew since he was pretty tired a couple hours in. It wasn't too crowded and the kids did great. We had so much fun and will definitely do that again! We almost missed the shuttle back to the hotel...and Bry was annoyed with the driver, but good thing he was nice because I ended up leaving his phone on the shuttle and she called my phone and we were able to get it back!

In the end the kids crashed with their Peter Pan characters. I love family time :) I am so lucky to have such fun kids and a husband who completes me!

**Mental notes for me: extra clothes a must for the kids, hit every bathroom you go by so avoid rushes to avoid an accident, healthy snacks, video camera, eat at Goofy's kitchen, make sure to see the princesses, and rent strollers so kids can rotate riding**

Definitely eat at Goofy's Kitchen if your kids like meeting the characters! So worth it (we took the family for our little lady's! Looks like you guys picked a perfect day to go, it doesn't look crowded at all in any of your pictures! Glad you guys had a good day!

Scott and I were just talking about how we wanna take the kids to Disneyland in the next couple years. Hopefully once we get out of debt and they're a bit older. That is one thing I really miss about living in So Cal is all the theme parks. Such a fun trip! And I second Heather. There are tons of characters for the kids to see at Goofy's kitchen. We used to always take Chloe there.
