A Little Life Lesson

Do not leave your pool umbrella open and out by the pool in Arizona if you are not going to be home to take it down when the wind starts to blow.......

We put up our pool umbrella for the first time this summer (courtesy of mom and dad! thank you - ) and left it up while we went to a friend's house for a BBQ. When we got home we hurried to the backyard to find the umbrella upside down so we put it away without another thought.

Until...

I went to climb into bed around midnight or so and noticed the mass amounts of glass on the floor by my bed. Apparently the umbrella went through our window on the way down. Whoops...we won't do that again. So now I sleep by a window boarded with tape, plastic trash bags, cardboard, and a blanket until our new window comes in. Oh the joys of being an adult and a homeowner!
