Well...we had an eventful Monday night and Tuesday! After going to the doc on Monday morning in the clear it seemed that Andrew continued to digress and we took him to the hopsital Monday night. They checked him out and decided he needed to have a sleepover for the night. After a couple chest x-rays, breathing treatment, positive RSV test, and oxygen we headed to the peds unit. I decided I would stay with Andrew and Bry should go home to get some sleep. Andrew on the other was anything but ready to sleep! Apparently the breathing treatment makes kids a little wild! I don't think we went to bed until 3:00 or so. He did sleep in until 11...not that I got to - we had docs in and out all morning. It is hard to fall asleep, have a doc come in and have to be coherent to what they are talking about!

Bry came in the morning and let me have a shower (it was wonderful). Andrew pretty much just got better as the day went on and got discharged about 8:00 pm on steroids and oxygen at night! Now we are going to get him tested for sleep apnea...the beat goes on, right?! Just thought I would share how cute he looks, even at the hospital! He is such a trooper!

He sure looks sick, doesn't he??!

Hope things continue to get better with Andrew! Oh, and be prepared for when you have the baby and stay in the hospital...apparently there is no concern for the your sleep. I had nurses, Dr, and lab techs coming in at all hours! Just when I would fall asleep someone would come in or Ryan would wake up (more often than not, it was someone other than the baby that woke us up!)
Well I hope you guys can find out what is wrong with your little guy. It is so hard to have sick kids!! And wow, what a night in the hospital! Sad to say, your delivery night won't be much better. Sorry. :)
Hey,
It's Lauren Van. I am so sorry to hear about your little one. Hopefully, he will start feeling better soon and you can get some sleep. I am happy that I found your blog. Mine is thewaldramfamily.blogspot.com

Aaaah! I think breathing treatments are designed solely to make both kids and parents lose their minds ASAP. Declan's make him so hyper, and the liquid steroids amp him up even more. I hope the doctors figure out what treatment Andrew needs. Kids and hospitals just don't mix.
ah- the joys of living in AZ and breathing treatments. You know it's bad when all the schools have a breathing machine and the kids bring thier own meds. Glad he is feeling better meg! Now we just have to get you feeling better from what I hear!!
