Four months young is more like it – I don’t like referring to my baby as old. He is already growing up too fast. These have been some wonderful past four months. Some sweet memories and developments:
***Carter can now sit up really well in his Bumbo chair and lasts quite a while without getting fussy - makes doing my hair and doing dishes a lot easier.
***Carter still refuses to take a passy or a bottle.
***He is not rolling over just yet, but gets really close when he is on his tummy. (I am not stressing or pushing the fact - he will be moving soon enough and there is no turning back at that point)
***He LOVES LOVES LOVES the bath. I even stuck him in there with his clothes for a minute and he was excited.
***Carter is really enjoying our morning walks. He loves to look at the trees, but hates the sun in his eyes.
***He is finally on a pretty good schedule with sleeping and eating and such with a morning, afternoon, and evening nap and only waking up once at night for a little snack.
***Carter doesn't cry usually when he wakes up. I will just hear little baby noises on the monitor and I go in to find him wide awake just looking around. Too cute!
***My little man went a whopping 7 days without a bowel movement...and we will just leave it at that. I was a worried mommy, but not so much anymore. lol
***Carter loves to be sung to. He loves it so much I can't sing him to sleep because he looks up at me with big saucer eyes and a huge grin.
***As per previous post, he loves his new silky - thanks Grammy.
We have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday so I will have some stats at that point. I thinking he is about 14.5 lbs and around 24 inches, but we will see. All I know is I love this baby!

It's SO fun to see his developments and such cause they are so similar to Katelynn's! Many of the things you said about him hold true to her also. He's a tiny boy compared to her! Haha. Oh well, more to love right? He's adorable.
I agree with you about not pushing the rolling, there really is no turning back! Ryan will be crawling in a few days and I am really not ready for that! Good for you getting out and walking first thing in the morning! I have no desire to get out and dressed that early, but Ryan does love the walks. He also hates the sun in his eyes, but I use that to my advantage on Sundays, ( he refuses to fall asleep in public). So on Sundays one of his naps is supposed to be during church. I take him outside in the sun so he is forced to close his eyes, it is the only thing that works!
Sigh. It goes way too fast. :)
Meg you are such an inspiration to me because a lot of girls I see with little kids dont even think about taking them for walks in the mornings, or anywhere else for that matter, you are such a wonderful Mother. I am glad we live so close together now, so I can learn from you, Julia AND Mom. I love love love this little guy, and Andrew too. You have two great kiddos.
