Morning Zoo Trip

We wanted to take the boys to the zoo Saturday morning before it got hot and to do something as a family. Well, we got a later start than planned, i.e. leaving at 9:40 instead of 8, which made for a bit of a hotter trip than planned. It was still fun all the same.

Since we have an annual pass we try and visit different exhibits each time we go. We visited the Arizona trail or something like that...

and the Wallaby walk through, which was cool because they said when it gets calm enough they come out on the sidewalk by you, but alas it was not quiet and they were hot so they huddled in the corner.

We didn't come prepared with swimsuits like every other family at the zoo that day so we just took of the boys shirts and shoes and let them play in the splash pad WT style. It was quite funny to watch them as their shorts got wetter and wetter...and heavier and heavier...and started to drop. *smile* They had so much fun and were quite sad to leave - obviously from the tears in the pictures!

It was a fun trip and nice to go out together. I am sure we will go more often now that it is cooling down. The high was only 95° yesterday! Hooray!

A wallaby walk through.... that sounds so cool! I can't wait to take my boys to a zoo. (Really, I personally can't wait to go to a zoo). Hopefully not in that kind of heat though. 95 degrees. Wow.
