I have been feeling so blessed lately. I know I love being a mom, but never realized how much I would miss it being away for a few days. I missed my little boys terribly not being able to be home and just do the mommy things for them. I miss making lunch, cleaning up toys, going for walks, running errands, getting Drew to school, rocking Carter to sleep, putting away their cute little clothes.....and I could go on and on. Being a mom is a lot of work, but I love it. It can be hard and trying, but worth every ounce energy and lost minute of sleep. I am SO glad to be home and look forward to being able to be a full time mom again.
Grammy and Shelley took Drew and Carter to the splash pad and mall park - they LOVED it!
Grammy and Uncle Jess went out to lunch....Carter thoroughly enjoyed his cheesecake!
I am SO grateful for an amazing mother who has come to the rescue to care for my sweet munchkins while I am recovering. She has been such a saving grace in helping me and Bryan to be able attempt to balance our time with our boys at home and time with our angel in the hospital. She has kept our ship afloat here and I don't think I could ever thank her enough.
Hopefully things will start to normalize in the next few days and weeks to come. I can't wait to have our little family home all together, but until then I will cherish each moment I spend with my little babies (yes...they are still all babies to me...some are just smaller than others!).
