Here kitty, kitty, kitty!

DSCN5848To preface this post, I am NOT a cat person. This is probably due to the fact that I am a bit on the allergic side thus I am bias towards dogs. Bryan has always wanted a cat, but knows I don’t like them and am allergic so the thought of owning one has been cast aside.

Well, this morning I was leaving to take Andrew to school and there was a sweet little kitten outside. Andrew was of course excited at seeing any animal that moves that he can chase after. We said hi to the kitty and headed to school.

I was greeted again by this little furry feline when I arrived home with Carter. The little stinker snuck in the house when I was going inside. I quickly snatched him up and put him back outside. This was quite the persistent kitty – he meowed and scratched at my front door. As I looked out the window he looked up at me with his pretty little eyes. I called Julia and she immediately said to let him in and that he was probably freezing! (as freezing as you can get in AZ) So I did.

Carter thought this kitten was wonderful. The cat went right up to Carter’s warm little body and was nuzzling and purring like crazy. Yes, this was a dirty little cat from who knows where, but it was so sweet and I couldn’t help but snap a few shots.

Ten minutes or so went by and I was done with the cat…so out it went. I am hoping his owner found him and he is safe now. He was a sweet little kitty and it was nice to have him for a little visit.DSCN5852

This last  picture just makes me laugh….it looks like Carter is covering his nose as the kitty walked away.

That's so cute! We had a kitty in Florida and had to leave her there when we moved...I miss my kitty.

I also am NOT a cat person!!! (Or any animal for that matter.) Ryan loves the cats too, he gets so happy and excited when he sees them at my moms house. You were too nice letting that thing in your house!

I think we get our dislike of cats from Dad. Thankfully Rich doesn't like them either, so I am in the clear. I do love little kittens though, just not when they get big and cranky.

ha ha- I probably shouldn't have told you to let him in- but I would have!! I think my dislike for cats came from dad as well- but I am a little fond of them these days.

Sooo...have you seen that cat around lately? See our latest post (Asian Cooking). Just kidding :).
I must say though, Anna does enjoy all the kitties running around the complex too.
