We had a little birthday celebration for Andrew on his actual birthday with my family and then a party at the park with both families and a couple friends. We wanted to make this year kinda big since it is the first year we could do it for this special little man!
He actually blew out the candles all by himself. I was very impressed. It was funny because he came close to drooling on the cake in the midst of doing it, but hey – he’s 3, what do you expect!
Andrew really scored this birthday. I think next year we will do less toys for Christmas and birthday and do half economical gifts and half toys…he has more than he knows what to do with already!
We had his birthday party on Saturday at the park. It was a bit windy and cool, but not too bad considering it is December!
So I have discovered the amazing world of cupcake pops. This was my first crack at them and they were pretty tasty and way fun for a birthday party – or any party for that matter!
We played musical washcloths, duck duck goose, and pin the nose on the snowman. It was a little crazy, but fun!
Of course there was the normal adult chatter going on. I thought it was great that my dad caught these two shots. The kids were on the playground playing while the adults mingled….in their appropriate groups.
Post party Andrew enjoying some of his new toys – a tool set and a basketball hoop. He is just the cutest!!

I'm so impressed with your cupcake pops! Those look delicious!!
Those cupcake pops look fun (and less messy). Those pictures of the adult "camps" are too funny. Totally like any family gathering at my parents' house.
The cake and cupcake pops look so cute! (So does Andrew) How did you make the cupcake pops? I am wondering if it is the same as a new recipe I am trying today???
