Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere. ~Chinese Proverb~
Is my baby really old enough to be going to preschool??! His teachers and therapists seem to think so…and I have to say Andrew tends to side with them! I was not ready for him to go, but I suppose it will be really good for him. His teacher is wonderful and there are therapists there to help him progress in the areas he needs a little help in.
Today was his first day and he did amazing!!!! I walked him to class and the teacher said “I think he will be fine”..it wasn’t him I was worried about, it was me! I didn’t cry though, but it sure was strange driving home just me and Carter. I picked him up on time and the teacher said he did wonderful. He said “no” a couple times, but followed the other children through the routine of the day. I know he is going to love going to school. I just can’t believe he is old enough to go. Well, technically he is not really since he is still two for another week. He is just my little boy and I can’t believe how fast he is growing up! I am excited to watch him continue to grow and learn and for me to learn new ways to help him!!!
Showing off his cool new backpack. We went to pick one out last night and the child had a hard time deciding. It was spiderman, no batman, no airplane, no choo choo (he couldn’t have that one because it was a mini backpack), no cars. He had picked the airplane one and we were headed to checkout when he says “batman!” and started to look around for it. So back we went to the backpack isle to make sure he has the one he wants. He still couldn’t decide, so after some persuasion he picked cars and now loves it. When he put it on this morning he said “heavy”. It was so funny watching him try to walk with that huge thing on. He is still so little, but yet so big!

So cute and so grown up! The sad thing is he will grow into the backpack before you know it!
How cool is that? Your kid is in preschool 5 days a week!!
Yea for preschool! I am sure he will love it, and you will love the time every day to spend time with just you are Carter! (When I worked at the preschool, a lot of the parents loved that part!) Have fun in school Andrew!
Way to be strong, if Henry ever mellows out, I think I'll have to fight tears when we send him off. I can't believe he's already going to preschool. *tear*...I know, I'm such a baby, I can't help it! I'm so glad he liked it though.
He really is so cute with that big ol backpack on! You're a brave mamma! Whatever will you do with only 1 kid 5 mornings a week??
Its such a big step when they leave for the first day of school. Exciting and heart wrenching. But I LOVE going to get Brendan from the bus and hearing all about his day. its magic.
