Blessed Day

We had quite the weekend this past week. Grammy and Poppie were in town for a couple days and Grandma made it back for Maylee's blessing. We had a busy, but wonderful time with everyone.

We blessed our princess on June 6th at 9:00 AM. Here I am getting ready for her blessing. The little dolly dress had a slip and then the dress - both with buttons down the back. I had to special order her dress since she would be so small, but good thing we didn't wait too much longer or she would have not fit. It was for 4-6 lbs and she was 6 lbs on the nose! I just loved getting her all ready....bracelet...slip.....dress.....headband...blanket...sweet baby.

After church we had quite the photo session with Maylee. Carter wanted in on it too. He just adores his sister. She is not sleeping here.....we either caught a blink or Carter just poked her in the eyes....either is possible.

A baby yawn is one of the most adorable things ever....

Her eyes are always opened REALLY wide when she is awake. Funny girl.

We had a little brunch at our house after church with family and friends. It was so nice to have everyone there. We took lots of pictures of Maylee and just enjoyed visiting.

We had restrictions on who and how many could hold Maylee. Brig lucked out since the house was almost empty and calm.

We just love love love this little addition to our family. I may not look too thrilled...tired is more like it, but don't be deceived it was a wonderful day!

Grandma loves to get pictures with her granddaughter every chance she gets. Sweet moments.

Cousin Hailee was blessed the same day, a couple hours later. I kept Maylee in her dess to do pictures together, but she was not too thrilled about being woken up for more pictures.

We would stick her paci in until she calmed down.....

Then pluck it out and take a quite picture and stick it back in.  Hailee was such a good sport. She even tried to take a little taste of Maylee's hair. These two will be life long friends according to Shelley and me. (If they like it or not!)

A few more snuggles were snuck in before Grammy and Poppie had to hit the road. Drew just loves his Poppie.
