June 4th , 2010

Today is the day. The day that this little miracle was supposed to grace us with her sweet presence. She turned 7 weeks yesterday and weighed in at 5 lbs 14 oz! The little chunk is gaining just over an ounce a day. The doc is thrilled and she is thriving. She is so sweet and we just adore her. She still sleeps quite a bit, but is SO alert when she is awake.

She is getting better about holding her head up when she lays on my chest and tries to look up.

She doesn't cry as much when she gets her diaper changed.

She does not like to be naked.

She only likes her bath once she is in and has a warm washcoth across her belly.

She looks ridiculously adorable in her new bows (pictures soon to come).

She has outgrown almost all of her preemie clothes. She is just too long now.

She has given a few smiles to mom and dad. Oh how they melt me!

Her brothers still adore her. Andrew responds with an "aww cute" when he gets close to her and Carter loves to hold her, rub her head, and poke her eyes (which he is not allowed to do. For some reason he thinks it is funny that she closes her eye when he pokes it. Naughty boy.)

She loves to sleep in the little seat in her pack n play.

She is a pro eater and apparently a pro weight gainer.

This little precious gift is growing so fast and time is going by so quickly. She seems so big to me now. Again, I wish I could slow time...and again, I know it is not possible so I spend a lot of time soaking in the moments. I am so grateful for this little angel and we are so blessed to have had an extra 7 weeks and 1 day with her.
