Sick of Sick

This weekend is my brother's wedding. All of my siblings will be there together. I have been SO excited for this.....SO excited. But let's get back to last week.

It all started on Tuesday I think. Drew woke up early from his nap "itchy". I took a look at his arm and then the rest of his little body and he was COVERED in hives. It went away after about 45 minutes, but they came around every once in a while for the next week - and yes, he even had one on his cheek again yesterday.

Carter started to have some goop in his eye about Wednesday so we were off to the doc on Thursday. He diagnosed pink eye and mention croup since Carter had a dry cough. I didn't think much of it because his cough did not sound like croup.

I spent the next 45 minutes driving to 3 pharmacies trying to find one that had the prescription. Finally got it - insurance problems - still have to go back to get a refund. Another long story.

Come Thursday afternoon after Carter's dose of eye drops his cheeks turned flaming red with a bazillion hives! NOT AGAIN! Apparenlty he is allergic to the drop nice. No more drops, we were hoping this cleared up his infection.

Friday - Carter's cough was getting worse.

Saturday - Cough was even worse and he looked MISERABLE.  My sore throat started.

We hit the peak of Carter's croup on Sunday. It was scary. He could cough and couldn't catch his breath. I still have a sore throat.

My poor baby was MISERABLE!

Monday - Carter was doing a bit better...my throat still sore...and by the night I had pink eye. Bryan and I are both coughing.

Tuesday Morning - I have pink eye in both eyes, still a sore throat....and now a nice cough. Bry thinks he has pink eye too.

Took Maylee to the doc Tuesdayfor her well check. The doc came in and said "wow - you look horrible...and I mean that in the best way possible" Wow - thanks doc! (I LOVE our pediatrician and I know him well, especially with how often we are in there). I did look lovely with my red eyes, no eye make up and a nice cough.

Wednesday - We are feeling better. Carter is less grumpy and coughing less. My eyes are getting better. But of course- Maylee is having increased eye goop. Again, we pray that is all it is and she doesn't get the full blown yuck Carter and I have had.

I think this is when Maylee got the germs from Carter.....little stinker. Arg

I am SO DONE with being sick. I pray Drew misses the boat with all of this....and we pray pray pray that Maylee stays healthy. I am not sure how much more of this I can handle.

I am so scared we are not going to be healthy enough to head to Cali this weekend. I want to cry thinking about it...but then I remember I have pink eye and I don't want to spread the germs even more. So here I sit.....with blurry itchy eyes, a sore throat, a nagging cough....wanting to cry, but trying not to...so sick of sickness....and praying we all get better by Friday.
