I cannot believe how fast 2008 went by, but oh boy did a lot happen in this past year. We have been so blessed. There were some hard times and some really amazingly wonderful times!
The year started out a little rough to say the least with my mom’s accident and our fear of losing her. Words cannot express how grateful I am that she is recovered and still here blessing our lives with all that she does.
The rest of the year has been exciting, starting with the adoption and sealing of our little miracle child, Andrew.
Carter came into this world and blesses our lives each day.
We got accepted to dental school and then decided it was not for us.
We moved from Utah to Cali to Arizona.
Bryan started teaching and coaches the boys basketball team.
My goodness – we have been busy and it does not look like life will be slowing down any time soon. I am excited to see what this fabulous year of 2009 will bring. I am ready to make it a good one, to improve myself and hopefully the lives of those in my family. Last year we made a goal to have FHE every week and I am happy to report I think we only missed 3-4 weeks and one of those was because I had just had Carter and another Andrew was in the hospital with RSV. Not too shabby!! This year I am going to work on personal scripture study. I am trying not to tackle too much at once…so we will see. Of course of I want to firm up the post baby making machine I have, eat healthier, sleep more, be more patient, be a better wife, and learn to serve more….we will see how all that comes along!!
We rung in the new year with Shell and Rich. My mom and dad came over early in the evening and we all had pizza and brownies. Mom and Dad headed out early and went to bed….party poopers!! I got the kiddos to bed and then Shell, Rich, Bry, and I played Sequence and then some Mario Kart! We were quite giddy and laughing at pretty much anything. I really enjoyed the night though and had a great time. My lovely litter Carter decided to wake up around 11:15 and I could not convince him to go back to sleep. He didn’t want to miss out on the action apparently! Shell fell asleep for a bit and I may have dozed off while rocking Carter, but we were all awake and ready for the ball to drop at midnight! We had some sparkling cider…and yes, I even had Carter take a taste. He was NOT a fan at all. Poor baby – he was so tired and here I went and gave him bubbling cider…not the nicest mommy!
And here is to gas prices these days and to many, many more months of low numbers at the pump!!

That night was pretty fun. And Carter was hilarious when he drank that cider. His face was so funny. Thanks for having us over. Next year we all need to get together, with Lu and everyone. Yay for 2009!
Wow, when you put everything down on paper this year was pretty eventful for your little family. I am SO glad you guys are all here and we get to see so much of one another. Next year we will have to do a family bash!
