Nothing super exciting of a day, but one filled with little things to remember…
Colds – by boys have colds…again. Andrew stayed home from school and Carter had a rough night sleeping. The poor baby has never been so snuffy that he couldn’t breathe through his nose while nursing. He was quite frustrated last night. Hopefully they will be on the mends soon.
Coupons and Grammy – Thanks to my mom I was able to hit Albertson’s this morning and get some great deals. She came over and watched the boys while I went. Carter napped and she and Andrew played trains, watched a show, played “house” under the table, and rolled around on the floor. She is the best Grammy ever and I could never dream of a better sitter for the boys! I am pleased to say that I have not been doing coupons religiously, but managed to get some good deals today with internet coupons – spent $66 and saved $175!! whoo hooo – we now have lots of cereal, granola bars, fruit snacks, yogurt, and cheerios snack mix!!!
Up on knees – I had Carter in the front room on the floor and I went to the kitchen. I just happened to peek over the counter to see him up on his knees!!! He was after a toy! Way to go Carter…he may be crawling soon, we will see!
Munchin’ – Carter has been munchin’ on Biter Biscuits and Zwieback toast so I thought I would give the Gerber puffs another try. I broke just a bit off and he did great! He gummed it like a champ. Andrew had fun feeding them to him as well. What cute brothers!
Crazy hair – Andrew must have slept hard today during his nap because he had crazy hair when he got up. It makes me laugh when his hair does this! I am guessing his head was smashed against the side of his bed or he was laying on it funny to stand up on the side like that -
Bananas – I am pleased to announce Andrew ate bananas today. He has texture issues and they are a bit slimey so I crushed up some cheerios, cut the banana into chunk and coated them with the cereal so he could pick them up easier – he managed to get 2-3 down without much gagging.
Missing Bry – Last of all…I really missed Bry today. Some days seem longer than others and sometimes I just wish I had my other half with me more. He works so hard to provide for our family and I so appreciate it, but goodness…I sure do miss him when he is gone so much! Good thing we have a 3-day weekend coming!
